March 2010

At the meeting in March 2010, we had a great, hands-on presentation by Jonathan Strazinsky of Monster Fish Rescue about DIY projects everybody can do to make the hobby a bit more enjoyable. Scott Myers won the bowl show, Lew Carbone became the all times point leader in our cichlid BAP program, and we had some great fish in the auction.

February 2010

At the meeting in February 2010, Dustin Brummit (right) received the OCA Bowl Show Prize 2009 from OCA Bowl Show Chairman Andrew Subotnik (left). This prize is awarded each year to the OCA Member winning the most bowl show points in that calendar year. For 2009 the prize was a beautiful Aqueon 55G Deluxe Aquarium Kit.

January 2010

At the meeting in January 2010, long time OCA Board Member and Treasurer Rhonda Sorensen (left) received the inaugural OCA-BlueZoo-Award from OCA Vice President Dan Woodland (right). The Award was donated by our sponsor Blue Zoo Radio. Rhonda received the award for extraordinary dedication to the OCA during the OCA Extravaganza 2009.

April 2009

At the meeting in April 2009 we had a superb turnout for the bowl show. In the cichlid BAP program Dustin Brummit was awarded the plaque for 400 point level, and Gary Mendez for 100 point level.

March 2009

At the meeting in March 2009 the OCA awarded a large number of BAP plaques especially in the catfish BAP program.
