Why no OCA Bulletin?

If you are not getting your email bulletin, then this page should help you in finding out what the problem might be. There are only a few reasons for not getting your bulletin. Look through this list to find yours, and then follow the simple instructions to fix the problem.

The OCA want’s you to receive and enjoy your OCA Bulletin!

1) Your email inbox is full. This is the most common reason for not getting a bulletin.

Solution: Clean out your email inbox. The bulletin isn’t that big, so a normal, well maintained inbox should be able to handle this document easily. If you keep your inbox in good shape, it will help you to receive new emails you want, including those from the OCA. Seriously, do you really need that string of emails from your buddy when you were setting up a tea-time in 1997? Clean out your inbox!

2) You changed your email address and did not tell us.
This is the second most common reason for not getting a bulletin.

Solution: Send your current email address to the OCA at this email address. If you change your internet provider or get a new email address, you’ve got to let the OCA know. A good idea is to have an email account at yahoo, hotmail or google that is independent from your internet provider. Yahoo, hotmail and google will give you an account for free. They also store all your emails and contacts on their computers and do automatic backups. If you keep changing addresses and internet providers, you won’t have a problem because yahoo and hotmail keep your emails and contacts on their computers, and you can access them from any computer that has access to the internet. They are also very good with keeping their virus protection up to date. With a web accessible hotmail or yahoo account, you will always be able to get your bulletin no matter where you live.

3) You let your membership lapse. This is the third most common reason for not getting a bulletin.

Solution: Renew your membership. If you are not a current Ohio Cichlid Association Member, you won’t get your bulletin. Everyone re-ups in November, why not take a minute and get us your $15 membership so that you’ll not miss an issue of the bulletin.

In summary, if you are an active member of the OCA, and you have a valid email address that you’ve given to us, and you have a reasonably clean email inbox, there is no reason that you shouldn’t be getting your bulletin.

Enjoy your OCA Bulletin!
